By plane
Luleå airport has flights operated by SAS, Fly Nordic, Skyways, City Airline, Svenska Direktflyg, Barents Airlink together with several other airlines and is located about 180 km southeast of Jokkmokk. The Airport is well connected to both the Luleå central train and bus stations. Both can be reached by dedicated taxis and buses.
Gällivare airport has flights operated by Nordic Regional and can be found about 100 km north of Jokkmokk. You can book a taxi from the airport to the Gällivare Travel Centre.
Jokkmokk can be reached by bus from Luleå and Gällivare. Please check the journey times available with Länstrafiken who provide the bus service for the Norrbotten region. It is important to ensure that travel times to and from the town centres connect smoothly and that travel times allow for any possible delays.
There are several car hire companies located at the airports.
Chartered aircraft can land at the Arctic Circle Airport located a few kilometres outside of Jokkmokk.
By train
Train services to Jokkmokk are provided by Veolia Transport. The main railway line from Stockholm goes through Murjek which is one hour away from Jokkmokk by bus. Please ask about Reserve Resplus which is a comprehensive ticket removing any concerns you may have regarding delays on your journey.
During the summer months, Jokkmokk is also served by the Inlandsbanan which is a seasonal railway service available in Jokkmokk itself.
